 Sunflower Playschool is located in Northwest Santa Rosa,California. Open Monday - Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm. We are a small family child care, licensed for eight children. Being that we have a small group we are able to spend more quality time playing and learning together. Caring for children from 2 months we pride ourselves on the family style environment of care.
What is family style you ask…
Family style childcare provides, as closely as possible, the best elements of care found within a healthy family. Emphasis is placed on the learning that is cultivated through mixed age groupings. The younger ones learn basic nurturing skills by observing the caregiver tend to the little ones. It is our goal to have small groups of children who stay together with us over a several-year period.
Each day the children and I enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Including messy arts, silly songs and lots of uninterrupted play time. Age appropriate educational toys and projects are always available. We also have informal story time, dance, music and movement, games, nature walks, free play and much more. Animals are a part of our family.
